You should expect the timber to shrink and expand with the weather. Tor reduce any effects of this like cracking and warping, you should re-oil often. It is not possible recommend a time frame due to different levels of sun/rain exposure and levels of humidity but if your tables are looking dry, re-oil.

You will need to retighten the bolts on the legs of your table every few months for a year as this is when the timber will make the most changes and settle.

Timber is a natural product; therefore, it does have natural features such as knots and sap streaks. If excess sap does expel from the table, the most effective way to remove it is to scrape it off when hard. This is a natural occurrence.
